Introducing new social features [experimental]

We hope you’ve been enjoying learning about human-computer interaction! Today, we’re thrilled to introduce new, experimental features to the class. If you opt in, these feature will let you see what your friends have been doing in their assignments, and to share your progress with them. Whether or not you choose to opt in will not affect your course grades or other course benefits.

Course due dates & Useful software

Hi all,

- We've updated the calendar with the dates for the quizzes. There will be four of them.
- Just want to point out an error on the syllabus concerning the due date times. The actual deadline times, as they were entered into the Coursera system, are 10pm. (The syllabus writeup mistakenly said everything was due at 11pm.)
- We've updated the "Useful Software" page with Balsamiq and Justinmind licenses so that you can use them for your assignments for the course.

Pre-class survey!

One of the things that we like to do is get a better picture of who you all are. Many of you come from all walks of life from all backgrounds with different motivations for taking this class. We've just launched the pre-class survey as a "quiz", which is entirely optional and does not count towards your grade, but gives us a better picture of you. Please fill it out!

We're totally excited to have you here! This is the second offering of the online introduction to Human Computer Interaction course. Please start by taking a look around the site and the syllabus.
